Backwater Photo Album...
In the summer and fall of 1987 Backwater went into the studio to begin work on their new album The Backwater Party Album. Where is it today? Nobody seems to now. Undoubtedly it is languishing in some dimly lit, humdity and temperature controlled tape vault. Or so we can only hope.

In 1984 Backwater began what has become a 20 year, on-gain-off-again tradition of playing at Sutliff, Iowa on Labor Day weekend. See the way the boys looked in 1984. Believe it or not, we all had those shirts in our closets before Backwater was formed. Strange but true.
On New Year's Eve 1987-88, Backwater wrapped everything up by playing one last job, right back where it all started - the Diamond Jo Warehouse in Beautiful Downtown Guttenberg, Iowa. Here the boys pose for one last group shot in their rented fancy go-to-meeting clothes.
Labor Day weekend of 1984, 1985, 1986, and 1987 saw Backwater travelling to Sutliff, Iowa to participate in the Sutliff Bridge Authority's annual “Save Our Bridge” fundraiser.
