Backwater is alwasy looking for an angle. Back in 1985 the band members decided it would be a good thing (in those innocent "pre-Martha" days) to try to obtain an endorsement deal from an equipment manufacturer - like Peavey.

Why is this man smiling? Chris Sauke played with Backwater from 2003 until the summer of 2004 when he took a new teaching position in Charles City IA. Chris was instrumental in getting Backwater back together. He was the only person we knew that owned a bass guitar amplifier.
